Job Description

Job Title: Delivery Team Lead

Workbase: 1 North Crofty, Tolvaddon Energy Park, Camborne, TR14 0HX

Line Manager: Technical Development Manager

Responsible for: Software developers & Test analysts

Main Purpose of Job:

To work as part of an agile development team to ensure effective, efficient and on time delivery of software at SCSLhealth. You will provide technical and team leadership through coaching, facilitation and mentorship.

As a member of the product team you should:

·  Take full responsibility for your areas of work.

·  Contribute to the strategic development of the company.

·  Embed the company values and culture in everything you do so that these are carried throughout the business.

SCSLhealth operate from Camborne within a professional and friendly environment focused on clear commercial targets.

Functional links with:

Technical Development Manager, Product Owner, User Experience Analyst, Sales Team, Marketing Team, Project Management Team, Customer Services Team, Product Discovery Team.

Duties and Responsibilities.

To take responsibility for and deliver the following:

1.  Undertake line management duties for the software developers and test analysts including, but not limited to, regular appraisals, developmental activities, training assessments, recruitment and performance management in line with the agreed company policies.

2.  Work with the product owner to maintain the release and sprint backlogs and guide team development efforts towards successful project and software delivery.

3.  Organise and facilitate team retrospectives to identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

4.  Ensure effective collaboration within the team and ensure that support and technical problems are dealt with.

5.  Ensure high standards of software quality is maintained by ensuring the team adhere to good practices with the software delivery.

6.  Support and mentor new members in the delivery team with technical implementation and the process.

7.  Record and report on allocation of team resource for sprints and releases.

8.  Work with colleagues, customers and business partners to understand and detail user stories and to gather acceptance criteria and perform acceptance tests for those stories.

9.  To work with the team to estimate effort on user stories.

10.  Work with Test Analysts to deliver acceptance criteria.

11.  To write, test and maintain computer programs and associated documentation to specifications.

12.  To liaise with clients, business partners and others in the development and deployment of programs.

13.  To work within SCSLhealth’s test, design and development standards.

1.  Undertake Continuous Professional Development, to keep up to date with the latest techniques and practices of your profession and the commercial environment in which SCSLhealth operates.

2.  Handle client complaints in a calm, non-confrontational and courteous manner. Take responsibility for ensuring follow-up actions are taken and that in the case of a formal complaint the Regulatory Compliance Officer is promptly informed.

3.  Actively and positively contribute to the appraisal process and to follow up agreed actions.

Person specification: Delivery Team Lead

You should have the ability to analyse tasks and problems logically and to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. You will have a rigorous, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail. In addition, it is important that you have the ability to develop and motivate a team, with proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.

Our new products are developed in a lean and agile, test driven environment and you will be introduced to and trained in our methodology.

Salary: / £36- 40k
Holidays: / 25 days plus statutory Bank Holidays
