Walsh called the meeting to order at 2:31p.m.
Mangers Contract was added to new business. Motion byJohnson, second VanHouseto approve the agenda as amended. MOTION CARRIED.
Motion by Salveson, second Johnson to approve the minutes of the February 11 regular meeting. MOTION CARRIED.
Building Managers Report – Salveson reported on the maintenance of the building and the boiler operation. There was discussion about damage to the baseboards and doors being done by one tenant, and there was a consensus to get estimates, notify and bill the tenant for these damages.
OLD BUSINESS
Building Repair – It was noted that Lakeside Masonry has finished the exterior caulking, the grinding and tuck pointing of the brickwork, and that Wilderness Family Naturals will be doing the interior repair work.
Roof Repair – It was noted that some emergency repair work has been done this spring. There was discussion about roof replacement options, submitting a State bonding request as the City’s third priority, other funding and financing options, and how the possible sale of the building may affect this project. Motion by Johnson, second VanHouse to hold a special meeting on July 8 at 2:30p.m. for the purpose of discussing and taking action on the building status, roof repairs, and the 2016 budget. MOTION CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
2016 Budget – There was discussion about roof repairs, parking lot repairs, exterior repairs, and budgeting funds for lighting replacement.
Managers Contract – It was noted that there are no changes to the new contract except for the contract dates which are from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. The board thanked Salveson for his work on the building. Motion by Johnson, second Thompson to recommend to the Council to approve the building managers contract with Juel Salveson. Walsh, VanHouse, Johnson and Thompson voted aye, Salveson abstained. MOTION CARRIED.
