Position Description

ORGANIZATION:

In March 1913, the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Dallas Section (Section) was granted a charter by the national organization (NCJW, Inc.)and became the first Jewish women’s organization in Dallas. In 2013, Section celebrated 100 years of leadership, advocacy and service to the Dallas community and beyond.

The National Council of Jewish Women is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW, both locally and nationally, strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

Greater Dallas Sectionhas launched, maintained and funded numerous community service projects to meet needs within the Dallas community throughout 105 years of voluntarism. Current membership totals approximately 1000. For more information, please visit:

POSITION: SPECIAL EVENTS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

NCJW, Greater Dallas Section, seeks an energetic professional to work with Special Events Co-Chairs and Executive Director to provide administrative support on a part-time (approximately 15 hours per week), temporary basis (June 1, 2018 through February 28, 2019) for the 2019 NCJW Dallas Birthday Luncheon.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support toSpecial Event Co-Chairs, the Executive Director and Office Manager
  • Record and track constituent data including prospect lists, donor pledges and ticket registration
  • Enter information on a daily basis
  • Produce and disseminate prospect and donor lists for committee work
  • Review and control gift acknowledgements, receipts, thank you letters and more
  • Ensure that donors are acknowledged and gifts recognized in a timely manner
  • Fulfill sponsorship and donor recognition and benefits
  • Attend planning committee meetings every other week during term of job
  • Assist in production of printed program ads

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office programs
  • Knowledge and experience of data entry systems and reporting (Salesforce experience preferred) functions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Prior experience in use of donor database functions
  • Prior experience in the nonprofit/public sector
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of development work
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
  • Two years college preferred
