Format of Troop Meeting
●Proposal to change meeting format to allow of ½ hour patrol meeting
This will allow for patrols to work on rank advancements, improve patrol identity, plan campout activities
●Patrols to work on Totin’ Chip at the March 20 meeting
Request from patrol leaders to enable scouts to understand better, safer use of blades, knives and tools
●Need to update troop leadership org chart
●Scouts had a good time at camporee

●Cyber chip Meeting is scheduled for Mar 29
○Compiling training material for classes
○Content should be based on grade

○Still under review, Finance module not available now

WEBELOS Crossover
●Need for better re-engagement with pack 130
●Suggestion to conduct open house for the pack (David Falloure)
○Activities will continue to be scout-led, but with close adult guidance
○Establish Webelos ambassador
○Collect crossover information for cub-scouts (parent name, email and scout name) and set them up quickly in the system for earlier, faster communication (D’Andra Shu)
○Develop new scout onboarding checklist
■Prepare checklist and share with committee, edit and finalize (Ravi)
○Need to new parent meeting soon after crossover

●Request for troop contribution
○Troop may contribute $1000
○Scouts will also participate during dedication
○Proposal to conduct a carwash to offset cost
○Need organizer - maybe a project to be coordinate by STAR rank scout

High Adventure 2018 (Seabase and Northern Tier, Philmont)
●Paid deposit to reserve spots for 2 crews (Seabase - $800, Northern Tier - $800)
●Paid for Philmont, travel reservations complete
East Texas Canoeing Campout (April 7-9)
●Confirmed stay at Martin Dies State Park
●Trailer can house only 8 canoes
○Possible issue if there are a lot of scouts signing up
○Canoe renting includes life-jackets
●Need to acquire dry bags to protect food

○Completed reservations for gun range
○Need range safety officers (RSO) and Shotgun instructor - checking with Lou and Dave Clark on availability
○Need to check if we can take our own ammo

●Offered to conduct merit badge sessions (1-2 times a month) to help scouts complete requirements
○Will help particularly ones that are partially complete
●Suggested the use of apps such as GroupMe to better communicate via text/email between groups
