  • 72 publications issued January-June 2011 (see listing below)
  • Funding uncertainty for remainder of FY 2011 (ACRP) and for FY 2012 (all CRP programs)

NCHRP

  • FY 2011:
  • Executing contracts for FY 2011 projects
  • Approximately 75% of FY 2011 funds collected from States
  • Request receipt of remaining funds from States
  • FY 2012:
  • Research projects selected by SCOR in March 2011 (46 new projects)
  • AASHTO Board of Directors ballot results: ballots due July 1st
  • Panels being formed
  • Panel meetings to develop RFPs to be held August-October
  • FY 2012 funding level subject to SAFTEA-LU reauthorization process (SCOR assumed funding at FY 2008 level; will have to adjust if higher or lower)
  • FY 2013:
  • Problem statement solicitation is out; problem statements due September 15th

TCRP

  • FY 2011:
  • Contractor-selection process underway for 10 previously-selected projects
  • FY 2012:
  • 92 problem statements received
  • Screening panels (2) to meet August 12th
  • TOPS Committee to meet October 27-28th to select research program

ACRP

  • FY 2011:
  • Contracts executed with funding caps due to multiple authorization extensions
  • FY 2012:
  • ACRP Oversight Committee met July 17-18th to select research projects
  • Announcement & panel solicitation to be issued early August

NCFRP/HMCRP

  • FY 2011:
  • RFPs being issued for research projects
  • FY 2012:
  • Problem statement solicitations issued; problem statements due August 31st

NCRRP

  • Memorandum of agreement issued between TRB/FRA
  • FY 2010 grant approved for authorized level of $5 million
  • U.S.DOT in process of appointing governing board as per authorizing legislation
  • Governing board (21 voting members) will include 4 state DOT members
  • 35 potential research topics collected to date from relevant TRB, AASHTO, and APTA committees
