- The JTA membership Database has now been activated and members are now able to access the system. However you must enter into the address bar the following information: otherwise you will have difficulty. Following this you will also be required to enter your user name and password that was issued to you. All other persons are able to visit the website using: but will not be able to log into areas reserved for members.
- The JTA Credit Union is inviting applications for twelve (12) Scholarship/Grants to be awarded to full time students entering the final year of a first degree programme preferably in the field of Education at a recognized local University. Applicants must be members of the JTA Credit Union. Deadline for this scholarship has been extended to Monday, August 8, 2011.
- The 35th Biennial Conference of the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT) will be held August 8-13, 2011 in Bridgetown, Barbados, under the theme, Caribbean Teachers: Pillars of Caribbean Unity. It will be hosted by the Barbados Union of Teachers. The President and Secretary General will lead a delegation to the Conference.
- The 47th Annual Conference of the JTA will be held August 22 – 24, 2011 at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa, under the theme Empowering Learners for Social and Economic Development. The Conference will be preceded by a church service to be hosted by the Western Regional Office scheduled for the Kings Seventh Day Adventist Church in Montego Bay on August 20, 1011.
- The JTA’s Travel and Wellness Club is pleased to announce its 2011 Travel and Wellness Getaway for 2 nights and 3 days at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel in Montego Bay from October 13-15, 2011. Single occupancy $25,960.00, Double occupancy $20,800.00, Triple occupancy available upon request and Children $6,000.00. Final payment date - on or before September 28, 2011.
