A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was born on May 26, 1939, a native of Louisiana, and a resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and traversed these earthly bounds on December 24, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was a member of the Society of the 173rd Airborne Brigade and of the Disabled American Veterans; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was also a member of the DeRidder Masonic Lodge 271 in Louisiana and of the Rizpah Shrine in Madisonville, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was the devoted and loving husband of Mildred "Millie" S. McKinney Robinson; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was the beloved father of Donna Robinson Heaverin; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was the proud and loving grandfather of Lance Heaverin and he was preceded in death by his beautiful granddaughter, Madison Adair Heaverin; and

WHEREAS, Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bert B. and Anna Laurie Sanderford Robinson; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. The Senate recognizes that Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson will be missed deeply by his family and friends and the members further acknowledge his brave service to this nation during a time of war.

Section 3. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Hugh C. "Robbie" Robinson.

Section 4. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Mildred S. McKinney Robinson, 203 Cozy Acres Drive, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701-8428.
