Updating GroupWise/Novell Information

The following handout will guide you through updating your contact information in GroupWise and Novell. Please refer to this handout to allow you to provide others with the most up to date contact information when changes occur. Please note that changes made via this method take 24 hours to process (except password changes).

  1. Assuming you have already logged on to the network, locate the small red in the lower right corner of your computer screen.
  1. Right click on the N to view the following menu:

  1. Click on User Administration for DPS_NDS, and then use the following directions to edit the different categories specified.

  1. Click on Personal Information to edit the information displayed. Type in the desired information and press OK.

  1. Click on Work Information and click Edit to change the following:

  1. Click on Mailing information to update your address (many of these are not filled in and this information is totally optional).

  1. Click on Login Account Information to view information about your account.
  1. Click on Novell Password Administration to change your password for the network.
  1. Type in your old password in the blank indicated. Type in your new password and press OK.
  1. Press OK.
  1. You will receive the following verification of the password change:
  1. You may see an error message on the next screen, but you can press cancel to ignore it as it is not an accurate error.
  1. The password change will take place immediately, meaning you will need to use the new password the next time you log in.
  2. Click on Group Memberships to view information about which applications you have access to on the network. This box is informational only.
