Supporting ELLS in the Iowa Core

  • Participants will have a deeper understanding of the impact a student’s language acquisition level has on their ability to understand core content.
  • Participants will take away a clear understanding of how mainstream classroom/content/grade-level teachers can engage ELLs at any English language proficiency level in the mainstream core curriculum.
  • Participants will leave with a list of professional books and websites that provide resources for teachers.
