Key National Banking Intern Program

Our Key National Banking (KNB) organization is a leader in offering innovative financial products for middle market and large corporations. In our Intern Program, you will develop business skills to help understand the corporate finance and capital markets solutions we offer our clients. You will also gain exposure to Key executives through networking opportunities and a speaker series.

How does the Intern Program work?

You will begin with an orientation into Key’s infrastructure to introduce you to the business. You will be given some Excel tips, etiquette training, resume counseling along with additional on-the-job training to help you perform in your internship. You will also have the opportunity to see the city while networking with interns from other companies. You will get direct coaching and feedback on your performance to enhance your experience and improve your performance.

·  Fixed Income / ·  Portfolio Management
·  Bank Capital Markets / ·  Equity Sales & Trading

You’ll gain an understanding of the KNB operating units and their products. You will partner with colleagues to gain foundational understanding of financial analysis, product capabilities, loan documentation, closing, servicing and monitoring processes. In addition, you will actively research and analyze data, and present analytical information.

What will you learn?

·  How to develop your career: You will receive regular feedback on your performance.

·  How to support clients: You will work closely with sales, credit and/or product specialty team members to develop, support and maintain successful internal partner relationships.

·  How to lead: You will learn how to look for financial indicators in various industries, to perform financial analysis, and how to develop proposals.

·  How to advance: Working with a team, you will analyze client information, assess and document critical components of financial solutions, and build essential skills for advancing at Key.

What is Key looking for?

KNB is looking for energetic, client-focused individuals who are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

Academic strength BA or BS degree with coursework in Finance, Economics or Accounting

Minimum 3.3 GPA

Experience Demonstrated leadership ability

Skills & Qualities Intellectually sharp with strong analytical and technical skills

Action-oriented with an ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Driven with creative problem-solving abilities

Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
