Catalog Description: / Studio class intended to be a seamless continuation of ART 3040 Intermediate Digital Photography. Students are encouraged to explore the medium more fully through experience with “straight” & experimental photographic techniques. Emphasizes photography as fine art stressing visual awareness, craftsmanship, and printing technology. Portfolio review required at the end of course. Digital SLR camera with manual controls required. Course fee required. Prerequisite: ART 3040. COURSE ROTATION NEEDED

Justification: / This is an existing course with revised goals. It is a standard course in other USHE institution art departments throughout the state. It generally does a great deal to further students' appreciation and overall knowledge of photography. It is, therefore, essential.
