1. SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL QUALITY OF THE PROJECT

-Research and technological quality, including any interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary aspects of the proposal

Define the research area of the intended research objectives. This description should give an overall picture of all research activities that will be performed. Give clear description of the state of the art of the research project. Provide a clear and specific description of the research objectives against the background of the state of the art, and the results hoped for. Describe the scientific, technological or socio-economic reasons the most relevant bibliographical references should be provided. If relevant, provide information on interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary and/or inter-sectoral aspects of the project.

-Originality and innovative nature of the project, and the relationship to the ‘state of the art’ of research in the field

Explain the contribution that the project is expected to make an advance of the state of the art within the project field. Describe any novel concepts, approaches or methods that will be employed.

-Research methodology and approach

For each objective explain the methodological approach that will be employed in the project and justify it in relation to the overall project Describe any relevant techniques, methods or analyses that will be applied.

-Transfer of knowledge

Explain what are the objectives for the transfer of knowledge and how the proposed research will serve the purpose of transferring knowledge to the host institution/company and/or bring knowledge to his/her country.

1. CAREER DEVELOPMENT PLAN

(Max. 2 pages, the applicant draws up a ‘Career Development Plan’ together with the scientist in charge of the project at the host institution/company)

In the ‘Career Development Plan (CDP)’ identify which existing competences and experiences they need to deepen, which new areas of competence and experience they need to develop and in which sectors they can do this, in order to attain and/or strengthen a leading independent position as a researcher. This may apply to scientific skills, non-scientific skills and personal development skills. The CDP must be concrete as possible and should indicate how to fellow intends to achieve the medium-term and long-term career development aims.
