U6 and U8 Just for Fun Soccer League

The TSCJust For Fun Soccer League is designed for players of all skill levels so they can retain their skills from the Fall soccer seasonand continue to develop them until the next season. The league is intended for players to learn to enjoy playing soccer, while becoming a better player. The most important thing is that they have “fun”. Encourage them to invite their friends, which will add to their enjoyment.

Eligibility – The league will be offered to kids under the age of 8 or those who played U-6/U-8 in fall 2014. Parents need to be advised that all age groups will be combined.

Game Times - Games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Penn-Bernville School from April 14th thru May 28th. There will be three game times, so teams will either play at 6, 6:30, or 7 PM. There will be no make-ups games for cancelled games. All teams will participate in a final “Playoff Game” on Sat. May30th, at the Penn-Bernville School, time TBD.

Cost – Freefor anyone who played soccer in fall 2014 and $10 for new players.

League Outline

-There will be nocoaches or practices for this league, only games.

-The number of players will be 5 (+/- 1) per team with no goalies. Therefore, attendance is very important. Do not enroll if you can’t attend most, if not all the games.

-On Tuesday, April 14th at 6 PM, the players will play games for about 45 minutes and then I will assign captains to pick their own teams and a team color. Each team member will be responsible for supplying their own shirt (numbers are not required). The first official games will begin Thursday, April 16th.

-All players are required to wear shin guards, but soccer shoes are optional.

-In the event of inclement weather, the cancellation will be posted on the Tulpehocken Soccer Club Facebook page.

-Games will last for 30 minutes and be played on a field slightly larger than a U6 field using U6 goals.

-The team standings and individual statistics will be posted weekly, as well as on the Tulpehocken Soccer Club Facebook page.

-Each player will play the entire game, even if the teams are uneven. In the event of a forfeit, the players will be divided up for a scrimmage game.
