What is going on this week in Early Years and Year 1?
Hello Everyone!
It has been another busy week meeting parents for parents evening and was very exiting for all of us. Lots of useful discussions and ideas were shared. Thank you for coming to meet our teams.
Planting and growing is very important to all of the children and they are looking forward to the Harvest Festival this Thursday. This week Early Years is getting ready for the ‘mini Harvest Festival’ at school.
They are going to be exploring a lot of vegetables and fruits. We will taste a lot of healthy food. Pupils will smell and explore herbs and will plant some vegetables. We are also going to use some of the vegetables to prepare lovely craft pictures and will be learning about Autumn in general.
Year one students are going to the Methodist Church to celebrate the Harvest Festival. They have all spent time listening, learning and singing the songs that will be sung at the church. Some of us might want to indulge in a little bit of dancing...
More hard work in maths with some pupils now working on recording in Tally form, whilst others will be working on counting and writing numbers.
Oh, we are going to have fun again!
Have a good week J
