Accommodation
All conference participants will enjoy the benefit of free board and lodging during the conference. The delegates will stay at Hotell Pilen (the Arrow). The preliminary room reservations refer to the following dates. Arrival: April 26; departure: April 29. All international participants will have three hotel nights for free, breakfast included. Conference Venue
The conference will take place at Umeå University Campus in the University Club (“Universitetsklubben”), located on the third floor of the Universum building. A campus map can be found at http://www.umu.se/digitalAssets/2/2684_karta-campus.pdf.
Local Transportation
From Hotell Pilen you can walk to the university campus in 20 minutes and to the city center in 10 minutes. A street map can be found at http://maps.google.se/ or http://kartor.eniro.se/. Airlines
Umeå is conveniently accessible by air. Three airlines offer up to 10 daily flights at reasonable fares. Two airlines, Scandinavian and Norwegian, offer connecting flights from Stockholm/Arlanda Airport to Umeå. Malmö Aviation is operating from Stockholm/Bromma Airport. Airport Transportation
Umeå Airport is located mere 5 km from the very city centre. The airport bus will take you to the city center in 10 minutes. Ask the bus driver for the nearest bus stop. You can buy a ticket on the bus by using your credit card (no-cash policy). The bus fare is SEK 40. If you prefer to take a taxi, the cost will be about SEK 170 (fixed price).
