Thank you for your interest in Summer Day Camp. Day Camp is a five day long camp that goes from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Each day, campers will participate in different activities, all guided by a Group Leader…which could be you!
In order to be considered for a Day Camp Group Leader position with Nazarene Recreation, please complete this application packet. If you have any questions, please contact Morgan Curry at the Recreation Office. Morgan Curry and Pastor Kyan will make and communicate all final hiring decisions by May 1st.

Nazarene Recreation is a ministry of Chicago First Church of the Nazarene. Positions within Nazarene Recreation require persons to be Christians committed to serving the families of our community. Membership at First Church of the Nazarene is not a requirement, but church involvement in a local congregation is.

On a separate, typed document, please give a description of why you want to be a Group Leader at Day Camp this summer. Please list your strengths and weaknesses and why you would be a good addition to our Summer Day Camp Team. Also include prior experience you have had with camps, programming, or children in general. Summer Day Camp Group Leaders who are 18 & older will receive compensation for their work at an hourly rate. Commitments are for one week at a time for up to eight weeks. Schedule to be determined by the Recreation Pastor and the Summer Day Camp Director. Schedules and hours are limited per the number of registrations received for a particular week: not all weeks will require a full crew of Summer Staff. Summer Staff are responsible for providing their own meals. Summer Staff are expected to be punctual and perform their duties in a professional manner. Employment may be terminated at any time at the discretion of the Recreation Pastor.
