The Progress is Exciting!
Our team is continuing to make great strides toward the SolidaritUS Family Health Center; focusing on clinic locations and build-out,physician recruitment, and preparation for Annual Enrollment workshops. The team’s challenge has been to locate appealing and appropriate sites and find highly skilled and motivated doctors from within our communities. There is confidence that we have been successful in meeting those challenges! Last week the SolidaritUS team came to Tulsa to discuss the progress to date and the goals ahead.
·Physician Recruitment: the team discussed the vetting process and the criteria used to screen and recruit the doctors that are presented for feedback from our team. Their process not only focuses on the medical credentials and experience of the person, but also on the philosophy and patient-centered mindset. The use of this process has successfully fulfilled two (2) doctor positions and we are confident that the remaining two (2) positions will be filled very soon. We look forward to being able to communicate more about the selected individuals soon.
·Clinics: the SolidaritUS Project Manager explained how they are working with architects to take a space and build it out to a specific flow, which fits our medical needs. Again, they take a family and patient-centered approach to every decision. The clinics will have multiple exams rooms with different specifications using modern medical furnishings and equipment. In addition, an exam room will be included with accessibility for those with disabilities and/or specific injuries that may permit them from fully utilizing a standard room. The doctor’s offices will be in a setting that ensures privacy and discretion when we are calling or video chatting with the doctors. The reception area concept will be welcoming; in addition it will have a laptop and USB charging station along with a complimentary coffee area. We were excited to see how much thought and effort is being made to ensure our employees and family members have a high level of comfort. Our plan is to be able to host “open houses” for the clinic locations in the month of June.
·Communications: we will have various mailings coming to our homes or distributed directly to all employees over the next few months. The team discussed various types of technology; mobile apps that can be used to monitor our own health and to communicate with our Family Health Center providers.
There is a lot of coordinated activity going on behind the scenes and the progress is exciting! Our team is participating proactively and learning rapidly about the design and deployment of direct primary care benefits. We are getting closer every day to our goal of providing services through the SolidaritUS Family Health Centers beginning July 1, 2018.
Watch for more information over the next few weeks about our upcoming Annual Enrollment Workshops, which will begin in late March.
