Reading Mission:

You will read Steal Away Home a Civil War novel.

3. Write a short essay describing why or why not it is beneficial for students to read this book if they are studying about the Civil War.

4. Pretend the author is going to add a character to the entire book. The author has chosen you, tell how you fit into the story and how you changed the ending of the story.

5. Rewrite the ending of the novel so that it would make a remarkable difference in the history or the United States.
