POSITION OBJECTIVES AND OVERVIEW

The Business Development Coordinator [BDC] is responsible for; the marketing of job seekers into targeted areas of employment. The BDC’s performance will be evidenced by the successful placement of job seekers into vacancies which result in ongoing employment outcomes.

This will involve the management of job placement registers and systems, the engagement of employers across a wide range of industries to support reverse marketing and direct job seeker applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Provide account management to key employers which includes, sourcing relevant training, conducting workplace assessments and implementing recruitment solutions to meet current and future business needs.

·  Create new positions and negotiate job placement opportunities with employers through targeted marketing that reflect jobseeker capabilities and meet business needs.

·  Negotiate work experience, work trials and other employer incentives to maximise job opportunities.

·  Implementation of marketing & business development plan including establishment of new employer networks and relationships.

·  Conduct pre screenings of all referred job seekers and assess their employability.

·  Job vacancies, referrals and job seeker placements to be lodged into the IT platform.

·  Provide follow up contact and support to job seekers and employers once employment has commenced.

·  To promote the growth of employment outcomes through active promotion of Wesley Employment services.

·  Completion of a broad range of documentation as per contractual & WES requirements. Documentation must be accurate, up to date and submitted in a timely manner.

·  To be available to work at various sites when required by management.

·  Compliance and understanding/familiarity with organisational policies, procedures and relevant legislation (Quality Management System, Equal Opportunity, Health & Safety etc.).

·  Attend mandatory training sessions (i.e. Equal Opportunity, Bullying and Harassment, Health and Safety), and mandatory training specific to the position (e.g. Food Safety, Infection control, manual handling, first aid).

·  Activate Wesley’s values of Hope, Compassion and Justice and a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

·  Keep informed through attendance at meetings, internal electronic communication and staff notice boards.

·  Foster collaboration and team work within and across programs and services.

·  Other duties as directed by the Business Manager to improve and promote the agency’s services.

KEY RESULT AREAS

·  To meet individual Key Performance Indicators as specified by Wesley Employment Services.

·  Demonstrate strong understanding of local labour market and skills shortages to target employment opportunities

·  Target industries based on caseload requirements and market WES services and job seekers to successfully place jobseekers in suitable ongoing employment

·  Develop and maintain employer relationships and implement recruitment solutions to meet business needs

·  Develop key community links to promote services and extend employment options for job seekers

·  Job Placement fees to be verified in a timely manner, verification statements entered in as per contractual requirements

·  Provision of services to jobseekers to be contractually compliant 100% of the time.

Organisational Requirements

Position-Specific Capabilities
Qualifications: / Relevant professional, management and / or tertiary qualifications
Certificate IV Employment Services & / or Career Development (desirable)
Experience: / Extensive experience in the Sales / Business Development field
Experience working in a target driven environment
Key Competencies: / Be performance driven and able to work in a fast paced environment
High level of demonstrated verbal, listening and written communication skills
Display high level of personal integrity and professionalism when representing Wesley Employment Services
The ability to manage a challenging workload through prioritisation and effective time management
Ability to conduct interviews and demonstrated recruitment skills
Strong assessment and planning skills
The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders.

·  Current Victorian drivers licence [mandatory]
·  A satisfactory police records check is a condition of this position and repeated every three years
