Karns Community Fair

Tennessee’s longest running community fair

Always the fourth Saturday in July

Who we are:

We are a volunteer run community event that draws 5,500+ visitors annually. An ever evolving event that got its roots in our agricultural community, and like the fair our community has changed over time. We showcase both our communities roots and maintained small town feeling, while incorporating new business and growth opportunities. Our fair is a not-for-profit 501c3 and works to be self sustaining while offering support to school and community groups. We work hard to add new vendors, attractions and events each year. Working hand in hand with our vendors to provide them with a great opportunity to showcase their products in a fun and sales conducive environment that benefits them as well as our visitors.. We are a time tested event with unlimited growth potential.

Intentions:

The purpose of our event is to bring the community together. We want to create an environment where local businesses have the opportunity to personally reach thousands of prospective clients in their service area. Whether that be gutter sales, insurance marketing, handmade jewelry, artisan soaps and candles or heavy equipment rentals. We strive to make our event a fun and exciting way for families to meet business owners and make personal connections that will create long term business. We work to showcase both small mom and pop type business and large scale international corporations.

We also partner with local first responders providing them a fun place to interact with the community and build rapport. Allowing children and adults to get up close to the people and equipment that work to keep our community safe, giving them an opportunity to show the person behind the uniform. Few things rank higher for young children than meeting real life heroes.

Included as part of our fair is The Fairest of the Fair Pageant. A chance for young local girls to work on public speaking, stage presence, and interview skills. Our pageant focuses on contestants being well spoken, knowledgeable, and graceful young ladies who are passionate and purpose driven. Our queen and runners-up are required to perform community service as part of their royal duties. Our goal is to focus not just on aesthetics, but on building strong, confident young women with a drive for community service.

Our goal is not only to showcase our amazing community and the people and businesses in it, but to build special moments and memories that will last a lifetime..

How sponsorship helps:

Sponsors help us keep our costs down while still providing a quality event.

We are able to keep event admission free for attendees, and cost savvy for our vendors, both things that create positive income flow to our vendors

Our sponsors help us to have a larger reach through marketing and advertising. avenues that wouldn’t be open to us otherwise. With radio advertising, direct mailings, and brand recognition.

Sponsors also help us provide new activities and event enrichment.
