LITTLE THEATRE OFF BROADWAY PROUDLY PRESENTS ITS 2014-2015 SEASON*

IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY (Mild language) August 1 to August 24, 2014

By Ray Cooney (Comedy)

A risqué British farce from the playwright who gave us Out of Order, Not Now Darling, and Move Over Mrs. Markum. Set in a hospital, It Runs in the Family contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts running in and out of doors, mistaking everybody for someone else, as Dr. Mortimore tries to fend off a paternity suit, an ex-wife, a punkish son and various other lunatics so that he may, at last, deliver the Ponsonby Lecture at an international conference.

Directed by Ryan Long Auditions June 15 & 16, 2014/ Cast 7 men, 4 women

BLACK WIDOW (Mild language) September 26 to October 19, 2014

By Paul Thain (Mystery-Drama)

Lord Arlington is dead, poisoned by a corned beef sandwich. His daughter Emily, who is obsessed by Hamlet, becomes convinced that her mother and a family friend are responsible. She sets out to exact a terrible revenge. Madness, murder, passion, ghosts and retribution are all themes in this complex and compelling drama that is set in the Edwardian era but involves modern sensibilities.

Directed by Christopher Johnson Auditions August 3 & 4, 2014/ Cast 6 men, 6 women

INTO THE WOODS (All Ages) November 7 to November 30, 2014

Music & Lyrics Stephen Sondheim; Book By James Lapine (Musical)

The Brothers Grimm hit Broadway with an epic fairytale where worlds collide in a timeless yet relevant piece and rare modern classic. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them. Act One is the fairytale; Act Two is what happens after “Happily Ever After.”

Directed by Lisa Cravens-Brown Auditions August 24 & 25, 2014 / Cast 7 men, 10 women

THE 39 STEPS (Mild language) January 16 to February 8, 2015

By Patrick Barlow, John Buchan (Mystery/Suspense)

A man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale! A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps amounts to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure!

Directed by Rosemary Cullison Auditions November 16 & 17, 2014 / Cast 3 Men, 1 Woman

WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Mild language) March 6 to March 22, 2015

By Agatha Christie (Drama) **Three Week Run - Sunday/Opening Weekend, and Thursdays/Second & Third Weekends

Agatha Christie's most celebrated courtroom drama - Leonard Vole is arrested for the murder of a wealthy older widow, named Emily French. Since Mrs. French made him her principal heir, not aware that he was a married man, things look bad for Leonard's defense. Leonard’s wife agrees to testify … not in Leonard's defense … but as a witness for the prosecution! Will Leonard be able to escape the hangman’s noose?

Directed by Jennifer Collins Auditions January 18 & 19, 2015/ Cast 8 men, 5 women

GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL (Adult situations and language) April 24 to May 17, 2015

Music & Lyrics by David Nehls; Book by Betsy Kelso (Musical)

There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil–loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband—the storms begin to brew. This comic fable about women in a Florida trailer park and their no-account men is bawdy and outlandish, and will have you laughing in the aisles.

Directed by Lisa Napier-Garcia Auditions February 15 & 16, 2015 / Cast 2 men, 5 women
