Welcome Back
The 2011-2012 school year will begin Wednesday, August 22. Opening day is often an exciting time for everyone. As summer winds down and thoughts of school begin, please know that the staff at Fort Jennings is looking forward to a fantastic school year.
Elementary Open House – Grades 1-6
Parents and students will have the chance to meet their teacher on Wednesday, August 15 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies that evening. The office will also be open to accept lunch payments.
School Alerts via Instant Messaging
Did you know you can sign up for instant messaging on our school website http://jennings.noacsc.org/ School alerts will be sent directly to your cell phone or email address. Alerts include school delays, cancellations, early dismissals, athletic cancellations, and any school-related emergency information.
Food Allergy Update
As we continue to make our school a safe and healthy place for children, including those with food allergies, please note food items other than a child’s packed lunch should not be brought to school with the student. If your child wishes to celebrate his/her birthday in school, he/she may do so by sharing a non-edible treat. Thank you for your cooperation, as we all work together to keep our school safe for all students.

7:55 – Building Open/Teachers are on duty
8:40 – Classes begin for K-6 students
8:45 – Students are marked tardy
3:00 – Dismissal
Delay Schedules
Please note when school is delayed there will be no release time/religious instruction.
1 hour delay – 9:00 – 3:00
2 hour delay – 10:00 – 3:00
3 hour delay – 11:00 – 4:00
Kindergarten Orientation
On Wednesday, August 15, from 6-7 pm, kindergarten students and their parents will have the opportunity to meet the teacher, visit the classroom, drop off school supplies, tour the school and take a short bus ride. Information on our all day/every day program will also be provided.
