JTC September 2003 Tour
September 13th through September 21st
As you are aware, each year we put together a Tour of Jaguars. Last year we sundered Montreal and Quebec. This year we plan to attack the Adirondack region and end at Stowe VT for the British Invasion car show. Below is the information about the trip and the places to book reservations for you (and your spouse).
A brief synopsis of the trip is as follows:
Saturday, September 13th leave NJ and proceed to Saratoga Springs via the Taconic Parkway and other back roads. Once ensconced in Saratoga Springs, we will take advantage of tours to Cooperstown, outlying museums and other points of interest as well as activities offered in the Springs. We will have a group dinner our last night in the Springs before we proceed the next morning to Lake Placid.
On Tuesday, September 16th we leave for a tour to Lake Placid. There we will do a driving tour of the area and day trip to the Adirondack museum. On Thursday evening we will get together for a group meal.
Friday, September 19th we tour to Boulton Valley, Vermont through the lake area.
On Saturday the 20th we go to the British Invasion and spend the day. Hopefully we can find a modest restaurant with the capacity for us to once again break bread together.
Each tour participant is required to choose their level of accommodation and make their own reservations. We have seen the recommendations we have made here and find them acceptable for comfort and cleanliness. Parking is adequate for security and room to maneuver your car.
Please make reservations before August 1st (July 15 for Black Bear Inn) to get the group rates we have negotiated. In many of the places the rates can be substantially higher than we have gotten for early booking. JTC cannot guarantee rooms will be available if you fail to make your reservations in a timely manner.

Please make your reservations early enough to allow the planners to determine if

This year we will be supplying each tourer with a day plan that will list what activities
are available that day and driving instructions. Our group meals will be based upon
local knowledge that we gain from being there. The first days in each location we will be dining in smaller groups. From our individual group experiences we should be able pick a reasonable place to hold our group dinner. In almost all cases where we were able to check menus, the entree pricing was in the $17 - 23 range. But there are sooo..
many.... to pick from…
Please contact Steve Ferring (973) 838-5612 (email: ) as soon as possible (but not later than July 15th) to let us know you are going to be on the tour and have booked your accommodations. Note that based upon the turnout last tour we have plans for only 14 cars. If we need to make more room we need to know early.
Thanks, Steve Ferring, Steve Weinstein and Pat Morey.
