Explanation of Updates

Sections 262.110 and 262.120are updated to remove Z Code information that is no longer relevant to this program.

Section 262.141 has been updated with additional required modifiers UA and UB to national codes 99401 and 99402 in the Family Planning and Post-Sterilization Visits table and to remove Z Code information that is no longer relevant to this program.

Section 262.142 has been updated to remove procedure codes 11975 and 11976 from the Family Planning Procedures table. Also, procedure code 11981 has been added to the table.

Section 262.143 has been updated to add national codes J7298, J7301 and J9297 and replace Intrauterine Device with Paragard T380A to the Contraceptives table and to remove Z Code information that is no longer relevant to this program.

Section 262.144 has been updated to replace national code J1051 with J1050 in the Contraceptive Injections – Depo-Provera table.

Section 262.151 has been updated to replace the required modifiers 26 with U2, and TC with U3 in the Local Procedure Codes table and to remove Z Code information that is no longer relevant to this program.

Section 262.152 has been updated to remove procedure code 83896 from the National Procedure Codes table.
