Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program providesteenswith valuable work experience as they learn the responsibilities of a counselor's job. It is designed for those who are interested in developingleadership and teamwork skillswhile working with elementary-aged children. CITswill be seen as leaders at camp and role models for the campers. Our goal is for each CIT to finish the summer ready to become a counselor the following year; however, employment is not guaranteed at the completion of this program.

CIT applicants will interview with the Director of Operations or CIT Director during the first week of camp. In addition to this application, all other camp registration forms must be completed.

DETAILS

Eligibility: at least age 13 by start of summer

25% off lowest tuition rate and field trips

CITs will spend most of each day working directly with campers. They will also participate in their own separate activities and leadership development training.

Responsibilities: shadowing counselors, assisting withvarious activities (sports, arts and crafts, theme days), being a positive role model

CIT Director will evaluate CITs and provide feedback in the following areas: Attitude/Interpersonal, Initiative, Professionalism, SafetyAwareness
