Female molesters
· Unemployed or underemployed
· Causal attitude toward drugs and alcohol
· Raised in astricthome, all sex is sin
· May been abused herself
· Illogical or bizarre thinking
· Lies to other adults
· Isolated for adults
· Appears angry and has a negative attitude
· Seduces boys
· Unusual electronic communication with her students
Sexual Abuse – Non Contact:
· Showing pornographic materials to a child
· Deliberately exposing oneself to a child
· Photographing or videotaping a child in sexual poses
· Encouraging a child to watch or hear sexual acts
· In appropriately watching a child undress or use the bathroom
· Texting or instant messaging (IMing) or emailing sexually explicit messages to a child
Sexual Abuse – Physical Contact:
· Touch a child's private parts for sexual purposes
· Making a child touch someone else's genitals
· Making a child play sexual games
· Contact of objects or body parts with a child in a sexual manner for sexual gratification
Physical signs or behaviors
· Torn, stained, bloody underclothes
· Missing underwear because child wants to hide it
· STD: pain, swelling, bleeding, discharge, itching
· Urinates too often
· Trouble walking or sitting
· Pregnancy of a female child
· Frequent or unexplained sore throat, stomach ache, headache
· Yeast infection, urinary tract infection
Mental stress signs
· Child actually discloses abuse, which is most obvious sign of distress
· Regressive behaviors not age appropriate such as sucking thumb or bed wetting
· Avoids undressing or wears extra clothes
· Runs away from home
· Not wanting to be left alone with previously trusted care givers
· An unusual change in bathing or groom practices
· Drop in grades or lack of interest in school
· Not interested in normal childhood activities
· Promiscuity or seductive behavior
· Sexual activity with toys or other kids
· Using new words for body parts
· Drawing sexual images
· Changes in modesty
· Demonstrates age-inappropriate, bizarre, sophisticated, unusual sex knowledge
