POST: CURRICULUM SUPPORT OFFICER - ACCESS TO HE

Responsible to: Curriculum Development Manager – Access to HE

Job Summary:The post holder will provide administrative support to the Access to HE Curriculum team in the implementation of OCN London’s Access Validating Agency licence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist in the customer management of OCN London centres by providing administrative support to the Access to HE team and reporting to the Curriculum Development Manager – Access to HE.
  1. Be the first point of contact for customers’ Access to HE Diploma course related queries, liaising internally to provide a resolution, keeping customers informed and ensuring that queries are resolved.
  1. Assist and support the Access to HE team in identifying opportunities for the promotion of the OCN London Access to HE Diploma.
  1. Support the Curriculum Development Manager – Access to HEin the development of new business by researching and retrieving information as required.
  1. Check and sign offAccess to HE Diploma course amendments and deal with any queries related to the work.
  1. Contribute tothe preparation of reports for the Curriculum Development Manager – Access to HE,as required.
  1. Liaise with colleagues in Registration and Certification, as necessary, in relation to Access to HE Diploma provision in the centres.
  1. Provide administrative support for the development, review, amendment and revalidation of units.
  1. Assist with event planning and execution.
  1. Minute meetings as required.
  2. Undertake updating and training as required.
  1. Comply with OCN London’s policies and procedures at all times.
  1. Undertake other tasks and duties as required from time to time, to support the efficient running of OCN London, as directed by the Curriculum Development Manager – Access to HE.

SELECTION CRITERIA / E / D
QUALIFICATIONS / Qualified to at least Advanced Level / Level 3 / 
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE / Experience of using a database, including data entry and processing
Understanding of the principles of accreditation /  / 

SKILLS / Fast and accurate keyboard and word-processing skills
Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills, including the ability to deal in a friendly and efficient manner with telephone/e-mail enquiries and visitors to the organisation
Excellent organisational skills and careful, accurate working practices
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to assimilate and apply information quickly and effectively / 
