A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Curtis Lee Wilson.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Curtis Lee Wilson, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Curtis Lee Wilson was born on July 2, 1929, a long time resident of Russell Springs, Russell County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on January 8, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Curtis Lee Wilson was the loving son of the late Ivy and Flora Dunbar Wilson, and he also was preceded in death by a brother, Kirby Wilson; he was the devoted husband of Mildred Smith Wilson; and he also leaves behind a loving brother, Bruce Wilson, and a loving sister, Edith Popplewell, both of Columbia; two nephews, Chris Wilson of Columbia and Ted Wilson of Huntington, Indiana, and two nieces, Tami Wilson of California and Flory Phillips of Indianapolis, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, Curtis Lee Wilson was an esteemed member of the Russell County community, where he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbia, and at the time of his passing, he attended Fairview Baptist Church in Russell Springs; he was a real estate agent and auctioneer, and he founded Central Kentucky Realty in 1965, and most recently worked with his nephew at the Golden Rule Wilson Auction Company in Columbia; and
WHEREAS, Curtis Lee Wilson was recognized as a great humanitarian who helped those in need, but never wanted recognition of his good deeds; he was an avid fox hunter, loved nature, and loved his award-winning dogs; he had a great appreciation for gospel music, and had performed with gospel quartets throughout Kentucky and several other states, and at the time of his passing, he was singing with the Crossroads Quartet; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Curtis Lee Wilson has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Curtis Lee Wilson, and extends to his family and many friends its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Curtis Lee Wilson.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit two copies of this Resolution to Mrs. Mildred Smith Wilson, 35 Old Hoppertown Road, Russell Springs, Kentucky 42642.
