I chose the characterization role, in that role I had to find Direct and Indirect Characterization, name 3 Adjectives for the main character, describe how his personality changed and what can I learn from his personality to use in my life. I never knew about Direct and Indirect characterization but in this assignment, I learned them and found out how I can find them in a novel.
I can explore materials and actions. When I wanted to find direct and indirect characterization I went back and looked at places that made a difference in Marcus’s (main character) life and I went a little ahead of that to see how is character traits have changed and how is he showing them in his actions to put in my role assignment.
I can ask open-ended questions and gather information. On our book talk questions, I asked the Question of: Who is the DHS working for, why was Carrie Johnstone released without going to jail, do they have Men working for them in the court?
I wanted to ask this question because the main plot event of the book little brother was the bombing that happened and changed Marcus’s life and a lot of his Characteristic’s but the book didn’t talk about it that’s why I wanted to see what was other people’s opinions.
