2015 Summer Requirements
Bonner Scholars
Bonner Guidelines
Every Bonner Scholar is expected to complete at least two summers of full-time community service defined as at least 280 hours over at least seven weeks.
For Bonner Scholars, there is no longer a maximum number of hours per day that may be counted towards your Bonner service. However, students who are involved in very time intensive placements should discuss how to count service hours with Natalie or Kathy before beginning the placement.
Students who do not return to the program in the fall are not eligible to participate in the summer service program and, therefore, are not eligible to receive the Summer Living and Earnings Stipends.
Summer 2015 Paperwork Requirements:
· Agency Agreement Form: due on March 30, 2015. (An Agency Agreement Form is only due if the service site is a NEW service site)
· Budget Request: due March 30, 2015. (A budget is required only if you need summer living funds.)
· Community Learning Agreement: Must submit in BWBRS prior to June 01, 2015.
· Budget documentation: due at end of summer, no later than August 17, 2015.
Please submit receipts and report of how funds were spent compared to initial budget. Any unused funds must be reimbursed to the Bonner program.
· Time Records: due at end of summer, no later than August 17, 2015. This includes hours entered into the BWBRS system and signed (electronically OR hard copy) time sheets. Hours should be entered into BWBRS on a monthly basis if possible.
· Semester Service Reflection: due at end of summer, no later than August 17, 2015. Please follow the guidelines outlined in your Bonner Scholar handbook.
· Student & Site Evaluation Forms: due at end of summer, no later than August 17, 2015.
Any changes in summer placements made after your agreements and budgets have been submitted should be immediately reported to the Bonner Office as this can impact summer funds you’re eligible to receive.
All summer requirements must be completed and all paperwork submitted before summer earnings stipends will be paid.
All summer requirements must be submitted prior to receiving any Fall 2015 scholarship funds.
