Your tasks

Students can click on either the icons or the hyperlinked text to view each task in a pop-up window.

1 Students need to access the section on ‘Odes’ from CLI’s Passionate Poetry (NSW DET only). Here they will find information about odes. In the section titled To Autumn, they will find information about Keats and his poem.

The task asks them to read To Autumn and then drag and drop callouts to annotate the poem.

2 Students need to access the section on Odes from CLI’s Passionate Poetry. They can choose another one of the odes presented here. They record a reading of the poem that conveys its meaning to the listener using Audacity on their laptops. As a group, the class can listen to the reading and discuss how well the meaning of the poem was conveyed.

3 Students can select a poem from the section on Odes in Passionate Poetry or they may choose a poem from one of the websites provided. They prepare a multimedia presentation on the poem of their choice using Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Presenter.
