MINUTES
August 10, 2016

1. Project Timelines
- New NCAA Outdoor Swimming Pool
Ø This project is currently on hold.
- Hodges Stadium Waterproofing
Ø The waterproofing on the deck is mostly finished. Ajax is currently working on repairing the handrails.
- Arena Bridge Demolition
Ø The demolition is complete as well as the sidewalk repairs. The light standards should be delivered soon.
- Starbucks Refreshing of Space at the Library
Ø Construction documents are in process. Kick-off is planned for the winter break.
2. Skinner-Jones Halls North and South
- Construction has begun with Ajax Construction. The preliminary costs are well within the budget. Radha Pyati will speak with faculty currently working on vibration sensitive research to determine their needs and will follow up with Zak Ovadia, if needed.
3. Building 6 (The Annex)
- The dust collection and fume extraction phase is complete. Relocation of the furnace will be next. These items are required for SACS accreditation.
4. Building 2 - Space Reallocation
- The construction documents were completed on August 5th. The drawings were sent to the stakeholders for final comments. The Office of Career Services will be separated into three offices; Office of Career Services, Office of the Dean and the Interfaith Center.
5. Building 10 – Coggin Student Services
- This project is almost completed. Occupants are scheduled to move in on August 15th.
6. Campus Development Agreement
- As we have now completed our master plan update, we also need to update the Campus Development Agreement. Because Kernan will not be re-aligned, the money will now be used to build internal roads assisting those travelling throughout the campus. Bike lanes will also be added.
7. Additional Items
- Albert Colom suggested adding branded webbing at our construction sites on campus to increase student awareness. He will propose some wording and follow up with Zak Ovadia.
