Webinar to examine agricultural market ahead

LITTLE ROCK – Producers, consultants and others interested in Arkansas agriculture, and the political and market forces that affect it, are invited to participate in a free webinar scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 5.
The online presentation, “The Agricultural Policy and Market Outlook: What Now?”, will begin at 3 p.m. (Central Time). The webinar will be hosted by Bobby Coats, Professor of Economics for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, and feature presenter Pat Westhoff and others with the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. The institute is part of the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Westhoff will discuss the latest market projections from the institute, as well as factors expected to drive markets in the coming months and years. He will also discuss recent policy developments and the farm bill debate, as well as possible ramifications.
