Vets Adopt Pets is about community joining together to thank you for your service to us all. It is with great honor & respect for you that we will facilitate the adoption of a cat or dog from your local pet shelter.
We greatly appreciate all that you have given to us and we want to give you the pet you want. We will do what we can to make that happen for you.
When all is said and done, I want you to understand that many Americans across the country also thank you for your service and do so by making contributions toward the adoption fee. Vets Adopt Pets - Our program is about "Thanking Veterans for their service to us all". We are a community of contributors, shelters & rescues that join together to pay the adoption fee as our way of saying Thank You to Veterans, Active Duty & their Families.
Attention Pet Shelters
U.S. Vets Adopt Pets is a Veteran Service Organization created to thank Military Active Duty, Veterans & their Families for their service to us all by facilitating the adoption of a pet from a local county rescue. We view this as a joint venture with your shelter and invite you to join us in this thank you. I am writing to ask if you would like to work with us on an adoption for a Veteran?
We will pay your adoption fee, we also want to invite you to join us in the thank you with a shared cost which is a perfect way to join us in this Thank You to our Veterans.
If agreeable with you, we would like to handle all the financial matters instead of the Veteran having to pay. We will mail you a check upon your confirmation that the adoption happened, below is the information we need from you to confirm the adoption. Also, if agreeable with you, can the Veteran take the pup/kitty home while our check is in the mail to you? If you prefer payment over the phone we can do that too, just have to coordinate the time. I will need a receipt with your letter head sent to me afterward.
It is our goal to make this a very happy and positive experience for ______who is qualified for, applied to and is approved for our program, U.S. Vets Adopt Pets.
You are also invited join us in future Veteran Adoptions or just work with us in this one time adoption.
Most importantly, we need you to understand this is to THANK this wonderful Veteran for his service to us all. I look forward to a happy adoption and working together with you and your organization.

When the adoption is compete, I need you to send me confirmation with a receipt and the following information so I know where to send the check and to help ensure it is applied to the appropriate account on your end. You can just type the information into the body of an email if you like.

Your Address
Your Adoption Fee amount
Shared Cost Adoption Fee amount
Pet name/id
& don’t forget the Veterans name too.
Or attach a copy of the adoption contract presuming all the above info is on it.
A PICTURE OF THE PET, so we can start fundraising for the adoption fee.
