The Month of May is devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God. On Wednesday’s in May the Moleben services in Ukrainian were attended by 4-7 people. On Fridays, for the English service, 2-3 people attended. It has been suggested that we offer the Moleben service immediately following the 5PM Liturgy on Saturday. In June we will offer Moleben to the Sacred Heart immediately following the 5PM Liturgy on Saturday.

FEAST OF THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST - is celebrated each year on the fortieth day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha (Easter). Since the date of Pascha changes each year, the date of the Feast of the Ascension changes.
The Feast itself commemorates when, on the fortieth day after His Resurrection, Jesus led His disciples to the Mount of Olives, and after blessing them and asking them to wait for the fulfillment of the promise of the Holy Spirit, He ascended into heaven. You are cordianly invited to celebrate this Great Feast with the Church, worshiping and giving thanks to our Great God at the Divine Liturgy on Thurs. May 28 at 6:00 pm or on Thursday, May 29 at 9:00 am.

SUNDAY OF THE MAN BORN BLIND
Troparion (5): Let us the faithful acclaim and worship the Word, co-eternal with the Father and the Spirit, and born of the Virgin for our salvation. For He willed to be lifted up on the cross in the flesh, to suffer death and to raise the dead by His glorious resurrection.
Troparion (8) : After seeing the Image of Your cross in the heavens, O Lord, and receiving like Paul the summons that was not from men, your apostle among kings entrusted into Your hands the imperial city. Always save it in peace by the prayers of the Mother of God, only Lover of mankind. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Kontakion (3): Today Constantine and Helen his mother reveal the cross, the all-precious wood which shames those who refuse to believe. Rulers with faith possess it as a weapon against foes; a glorious standard frightful in battle / revealed for the sake of all. Now and for ever and ever: Amen.
Kontakion (5): With eyes that are spiritually blind, I come to You, O Christ; and like the man who was blind since birth, I cry out to You with repentance: You are a shining Light to those who are in darkness.

Апостоль: Діянь святих апостолів читання. (Ді 16,16-34) Тими днями, як ми йшли на молитву, зустріла нас одна служниця, що мала духа віщуна, і віщуванням справляла панам своїм великий заробіток. Ідучи слідом за Павлом і за нами, вона кричала: “Ці люди - слуги Всевишнього Бога, які звіщають вам путь спасіння!” Чимало днів вона таке робила. Набридло це Павлові й, повернувшися, він сказав до духа: “Велю тобі ім’ям Ісуса Христа вийти з неї!” І в ту ж мить він вийшов. Побачивши її пани, що їхня надія на заробіток пропала, схопили Павла й Силу і потягли на майдан до влади. Привівши ж їх до воєвод, сказали: “Ці люди колотять наше місто, це юдеї. Вони навчають звичаїв, яких нам, римлянам, не дозволено ані приймати, ані виконувати.” І натовп кинувся на них спільно, а воєводи, здерши з них одежу, звеліли їх сікти різками; завдавши їм чимало ран, кинули у в’язницю, наказавши тюремникові пильно стерегти їх. Він же, прийнявши такий наказ, вкинув їх у в’язницю до самої середини і забив їх ноги у колоди. Павло та Сила опівночі молилися і співали Богу, а в’язні слухали їх. Раптом зчинився землетрус великий, так що підвалини в’язниці затряслися: зненацька відчинилися всі двері, і кайдани всіх розв’язалися. Якже прокинувся тюремник і побачив відчинені темничні двері, витяг меч і хотів себе вбити, гадаючи, що в’язні повтікали. Аж тут Павло скрикнув голосом великим, кажучи: “Не завдавай ніякого собі лиха, всі бо ми тут!” І попросивши світла, тюремник ускочив до в’язниці й, тремтячи, кинувсь у ноги Павлові та Силі; а вивівши їх звідти, мовив: “Панове, що мені слід робити, щоб спастися?” Ті відповіли: “Віруй у Господа Ісуса, і спасешся ти і твій дім.” І вони йому звіщали слово Господнє і всім, що були в його домі. А він, узявши їх тієї години вночі, обмив їхні рани й охристився з усіма своїми. Як же запровадив їх до себе в господу, то накрив стіл і веселився з усім домом, який увірував в Бога. Christ healing the man
who was blind since birth near the pool of Siloam. For us this Sunday is a reminder that the
Lord has anointed our eyes with his own divine hands and washed them with the waters of
our baptism
