Readiness to ‘go live’ with SCR

  • Submission of the Acceptable User Agreement (AUA) via Survey Monkey is very straight forward. It indicates your Readiness to ‘go live’ for SCR access.

To submit the AUA via survey monkey you are confirming that the following are in placeto indicate the PHARMACY’s readiness to go live. This is the link to the document to be completed:

  1. Check…One attendee has attended a F2F event per pharmacy

Check…One person minimum has passed the CPPE assessment and sent their certificate to

You do not have to wait for all GPhC registrants to pass, just one initially to go live. Others can be updated as and when, they just send their name, certificate, smart card number and ODS code to the email address and the team will get their smart cards updated.   1. Check….annual IG submission has been undertaken for 2015/16

Check….Nominate two privacy officers (PO) per organisation. ForPrivacy Officer Nomination queries please call us call us on 01604 651142 or 01604 651743 to discuss. They do not need to have undertaken PO training prior to submitting the AUA.They each need to have a smartcard, at least one has to have one when you submit the AUA, the other can be obtained via Tuf (see reverse). POs will be contacted to undertake training after ‘full go live’ (Information and Clinical GovernanceSCR-02 covered)

  1. Check….Have an SOP in place for SCR (issued on the night also available in the process steps see link Use this also as a means to brief your staff. Document.

Check…..Have updated associated SOPs with ‘consider use of SCRs when using this service see SCR SOP’ for e.g. MUR/NMS/EHC/Flu vac (Business ChangeSCR-03 is covered)

  1. Check…..EPS2 live and using the NHS portal (Technical baselinesSCR-04 is covered)

On the AUA document it also mentions SCR-05 Patient/Subject Access requests this will be dealt with as part of the PO training, so please don’t concern yourself with that at this stage

IF ALL THESE ARE IN PLACE, FILL IN THE BOXES ON THE ONLINE AUA SURVEY MONKEY DOCUMENT AND SUBMIT

Upon receipt of this notification from HSCIC, the project team will be notified and set about getting smart cards updated with SCR and PO RBAC roles.

To fully ‘go live’with SCR

At least one person will have the PO role added to their smartcard. Also at least one GPhC registrant from the pharmacy must have passed the CPPE SCR assessment. This information must be sent to using the RA form attached to

The team will advise when SCR has been added to smart cards. The team will give you a call to confirm this has happened, get you to access the NHS portal, enter a test NHS number from the SOP issued on the night(SCR process step 5) and proceed to fully look at that test patient’s SCR.

This will generate the £200 payment and turn your readiness to ‘go live’ into actual ‘go live’ to use the service.

IMPORTANT GPhC registrants who have passed the CPPE eLearning assessment must only access SCR when the pharmacy has gone live.Get posters/PILs for SCR via process steps ready for patients. Practice words to get PTV (Permission to View)
