John Wieczorek called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Mahoning Township Building, 2685 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, PA 18235

Thomas Nanovic advised that he will discuss with Tim Edinger tomorrow night at the Planning Commission meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mahoning Township Grading of Township Park
MOTION
Travis Steigerwalt made a motion to have township engineer move forward with the E&S Plan for the recreation property as well as investigate the entire township property and delineate the wetland areas. Seconded by George Stawnyczyj. John Wieczorek, yes; Travis Steigerwalt, yes; George Stawnyczyj, yes; and Linda Benner. 4-0 vote. Motion carried.
Mildred Felten 994 Hemlock Drive, Lehighton, PA
Wishes to construct a new home on her property which is fully divided by a road, does the road constitute a natural subdivision. The supervisors do not have to act on this issue.
Tiger II Grant
Grants are available for local arterial projects or bridge replacement projects. Have township engineer Tim Edinger take a look at Rex’s Bridge and make recommendation on how to precede.

· Article in the Times New about two weeks ago regarding a pre-construction meeting for the Rte. 209 project. I contacted the township office and Natalie was not aware of the meeting. I contacted Mr. Rogal and he advised it was not a pre construction meeting rather a pre paving meeting and discussion of the sewer lines on First Street was discussed. Questioned Oak Drive and 209 flooding issues. They will be cleaning all culverts and cross pipes.

· Kentucky Fried Chicken coming into the new Walmart Supercenter
· Carbon Plaza Mall is advertising for a new pod restaurant
· Horse track dust, he will go back out and talk to the owner

· Tax Collection Committee is re looking at some compromised positions on how the voting is arranged. I prepared a compromise that I will be submitting.
· Mr. Pearson was in the office today and I had conversation with him regarding the Mr. Claypool issues. There are no permits in place. I will talk to the chief.
· Executive session regarding personnel will be held directly after meeting.
