Mabelhas premiered her striking video for brand new single ‘Fine Line’ (ft. Not3s), which is available now on Polydor Records. Shot vividly on location in Johannesburg, ‘Fine Line’ is already ascending the charts following its launch last week, with Mabel also among the first wave of acts now confirmed for this year’s Wireless Festival (on the Friday headlined by J Cole). Her extensive run of European shows with Harry Styles begins on March 11th, before Mabel’s own headline tour of the UK & Europe in April (including her biggest show to date at London’s Kentish Town Forum).

Full of attitude, energy and seemingly buoyed by the confidence of a breakthrough twelve months, ‘FineLine’ beginsMabel’s 2018 with a bang. Teaming up once again with Not3s – the BBC Sound of 2018 nominated rapper whose new, Top-20-and-rising single,‘My Lover’,Mabelalso features on – ‘FineLine’ soundtracks those crossroad moments in a budding romance whilst urging women to take the wheel. “FineLine,”saysMabel,“is a playful track that I wrote about that fun phase at the beginning of a relationship when you're trying to figure each other out. It's about getting lost in something without losing yourself completely and how that's exciting but also dangerous.”
‘FineLine’ follows the incredible success of ‘Finders Keepers’, which slowly grew throughout 2017 into one of the crossover moments of the year. Having spent five weeks in the UK Top 10 (the third longest stint for a new UK artist),Mabelwas also recently nominated for the prestigious BRITS Critics’ Choice Award and Mobo Awards. Along the way, there were appearances everywhere from ‘Later…with Jools Holland’ to ‘Top of the Pops’ and the Boy Better Know takeover, all of which culminated in the release ofMabel’s critically-acclaimed debut mixtape, ‘Ivy To Roses’: a vivid snapshot of her extraordinary personal journey to date, and a collection of songs exploring everything from feminine independence and control in modern relationships to growing up, and into your own skin.
2018 will seeMabelcontinue work on her debut album, which she has arguably had running through her blood for years now. From being born into a musical dynasty and choreographing DIY dance routines with her sister to writing songs in secret and slowly releasing music online,Mabelhas found her voice as one of British pop’s most refreshing and positive young role models. It’s this ability to move effortlessly between the worlds of music, fashion, dance and art that is central to everythingMabeldoes, making her as at home collaborating with Stormzy or Tate Modern as she is teaming up with campaigns for Adidas and Topshop.
On ‘FineLine’,Mabeltakes another step on her unique journey towards international pop stardom – and she’s taking you with her.
