2017 News Flash – Men’s Nine Hole Golf Club

Hi Guys!
There are a few things I want to cover with our membership as we move closer to our fall kick-off
on November 6. Remember that this event will be cart path only.
First and foremost, if you are not familiar with our new sign-up procedure that was covered
in my previous correspondence, I encourage you to review it on our website, as it has changed substantially.
On the subject of sign-up, please remember that the cut-off for play on November 6 is at 2:00PM
on Tuesday, October 31. Stand-by requests will be accepted after 2:00PM and until 6:00PM on
Sunday, November 5. Please remember that stand-by does not guarantee a spot.
If you get a chance, check out our ad in the November issue of Grand Lifestyles.
We will have a table at the SCG Fall Event on November 11, so if you’re in the area, please stop by and say hi!
Remember that our President’s Cup Golf Tournament is set for December 4th and 11th.
This event requires a two-week commitment and a player’s handicap must be established.
Our Annual Meeting and dinner will be on Thursday, December 14. Tickets will go on sale
November 27. This is the meeting where our Club's 2018 leadership will be elected. If you
are interested in serving, please contact Stan Zeitz at 623-256-0977.
We are very fortunate to have Jack Lengyel as our guest speaker. Jack is a SCG resident and was
the main subject in the movie "We are Marshall". Unfortunately, Jack is not nearly a good looking as Matthew
McConaughey, who starred as Jack in the movie.
Note that I will be out of action for two months due to a scheduled knee procedure on November 13.
Cards, gifts and flowers will be greatly appreciated!
