Please note that this meeting is collocated with CGMS-42 starting on the following Monday. If you are participating in both GSICS-EP-15 and CGMS-42, you only need to send one hotel registration form, indicating however that you are attending both meetings.

Attendees of some nationalities may require a visa for China. In case you travel via Hong Kong a transit visa might also be necessary. Please check with your local travel agent.

Those of you requiring a personalised invitation letter from the host for the purpose of the visa application are kindly requested to fill in the CGMS-42 visa support form (available on page 6 of this document) and send it to as soon as possible and no later than 15 March 2014.

Subway

The subway Guangzhou Metro Line-2 stops at Haizhu Square station, where the Hotel Landmark Canton(华厦大酒店) is locatednearby.Take Line-3 at the airport and change to Line-2 at Jiahewanggang, and the subway stop for the hotel is Haizhu Square. The cost is about $2 USD.

Taxi

The most convenient way is taking a taxi at the airport to access the Hotel Landmark Canton. The price is about $20 USD (around 130 CNY).

From Hong Kong Airport to hotel

There is a bus at the Hong Kong airport that takes you directly to the Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou. It takes about 3hours by bus. If a participant transits from the Hong Kong airport, a transit visa is normally required. Please indicate on the visa support form if you plan to travel through Hong Kong.

April to June is the rainy season of a year in Guangzhou, climate in May is warm and wet. The temperature is 20.1C0 on average.

Currency/Banks

The currency applicable in Chinais the China Yuan (CNY).

Exchange rate as of 10February 2014:
