A BRIEF REPORT

Conducted Interfaculty Forum programme on 10-11-2016 (Thursday) in the Cyber Café. The programme began at 3p.m. Dr.Dayananda Reddy, principal I/C, Dr.Annapoorna Sarada, Reader, Dept. of Physics, Dr.K.Subramanyam Naidu,Reader,Dept.of Physics and the other teaching faculty attended the programme.

As a part of sharing the knowledge of common interest, two presentations were given. The first presentation was given by Dr. K.Subramanyam Naidu on the topic Internet of Things (IOT).IOT is a proposed development of Internet in which everyday objects have network connectivity allowing them to send and receive data. The presentation was in the form of a PPT which lasted 45 minutes. The presentation highlighted the uses of Internet of Things in the tech savvy world. Internet of Things is used in various fields such as telemedicine, healthcare, transport, industry, agriculture, Waste management, cloud technology, power sector, and smartphones and in many devices that are used in day to day life. Internet of Things made big inroads into human life. Internet of Things will undoubtedly make human life easy and simple. The presentation was highly useful and informative.

The second PPT was given by Dr. Jayasankar, Lecturer in Zoology on Blood and its Components. He listed various components of blood and also how these components play vital role in keeping human beings healthy. The importance of RBCs and WBCs and the ways of maintaining the both in their proportionate rate with healthy food habits was stressed with examples. It was also explained how blood sample is used to diagnose diseases. What diseases are caused because of lower levels of these cells and how they can be prevented with regular health checkup were also covered in the presentation.

After a pleasant exchange of ideas the programme was concluded with the closing remarks of the principal I/C.
