Assessment of the Graduate Faculty reveals that our students do not have a capstone experience course in ethnic health and health disparities. This new course is designed specifically for the new online graduate program.

MPH 6009. Capstone Experience in Ethnic Health and Health Disparities (3) Integrates the critical thinking concepts, research strategies, public health skill sets, and culturally competent training culminating in a final research project/proposal. Final research project/proposal will be evaluated by the Ethnic Health & Health Disparities Capstone Faculty Committee.

FINAL GRADE:
There will be weekly online discussion board assignments and a virtual chatroom discussion session to address each aspect of qualitative research methods as it relates to students final research project/proposal.
The final grade will be based upon the completion of the weekly online discussion board assignments, participation in the virtual chatroom discussions, and completion of the ethnic health and health disparity research project/proposal. The Ethnic Health and Health Disparity Capstone Faculty Committee (3 faculty members of the Department of Public Health) will evaluate the research project/proposal for its quality and culturally competence.
