SVMFL General Membership Meeting Minutes

Meeting Agenda:

Call to order - Meeting was called to order at 8:06pm by George Cardozo, president

  1. Roll call by Kim Beaudoin
  2. Motions to accept last months minutes:

1.Motion to accept minutes of last month made by Dave Schneider, second by Fred Parke.

  1. Vendors:

1.Looking for new vendors for sweatshirts.

  1. Tackle commissioner:

1.Winter League: Great experience for all. Should do it again for next year.

2.Skills Clinic from Coach Cap was emailed to league.

3.St. Paul Coaches Clinic

4.All head coaches will be required to attend a coaches clinic at least every 3 years.

5.All head coaches will be required to be CPR trained. March 31 there is a CPR class from 6-9 p.m. at SVMFL. $45 class .. If you attend this course league will pay $20.

  1. Safety Report:

1.Fred is looking to get a defibulator. Sarah jean will look into fundraising for it. Bonnie Solivan can write a grant to get us one as well.

  1. Flag/Powder Puff :

1.Possible Powder Puff Clinic

2.Looking to expand Flag into Kindergarten only, a 1st and 2nd division, a High School Division and aMens Division.

3.Powderpuff girls will get their own pants this year. Shirts replace and repair. Bonnie has a donor that would love to sponsor PowderPuff.

4.Popable flags purchase for flag as well.

5.Andy is looking into getting a Powderpuff all start team to play the high school team.

  1. Treasurer report :

1.$13, 433.41 all bills paid.

  1. Equipment report:

1.Clean up 3-29 and 30 April 5 and 6 and 4-12 and 13 from 10-2.

2.Winter league equipment return for April 12 and 13 from 10-2.

  1. League Auxilary:

1.Initial flyer going out to schools in next 2 weeks.

2.Sponsor letters are ready to go out to chamber businesses and will be sent out in the next month or so.

3.Thomas Hill Lawn Care will be donating a flatbed for the parade.

  1. Old Business:

1.Sweatshirts will be a different vendor. Still looking into getting quotes.

2.Scoreboard: Need drawings from Chris Kohl with waterproofing info and wind loads.

3.By-Laws : need to take out C and Flag championship wording

  1. New Business:

1.Registration fees have not been set as of yet, however, a $5 per person fee will be assessed to ALL leagues per the town. With that fee we will have the opportunity to play games at the High School field. We will be working on a schedule to get our players on that field. Kindergarten division is exempt from this fee.
