Tips for Evaluation Packets for RTT and Online Courses

·  Print off from Blackboard all necessary materials.

·  Make sure you include all assessments in your packet.

o  Anything a student is being graded on.

·  Print off copies of your weekly announcements.

o  Because you are using an RTT course the course itself if not drastically altered was designed to create student engagement.

o  Your evaluator will be looking for ways YOU specifically engage students. The enthusiasm, encouragement, and direction that you include in your weekly announcements will help demonstrate your outreach and engagement of students.

·  If there are any materials in the course that you specifically have created, include those and indicate that these are materials added to the RTT.

·  Any documentation you can provide regarding professional development should be included.

o  If you have attended college professional development where you obtained CEU’s, you can go to Web Advisor, login to the Student area, go to Transcript, then select CE, and anything you have received CEU’s for will appear.

§  Highlighting only the courses that apply.

§  If you did the professional development elsewhere, include a flyer or agenda from the event; include that (if you have it).

·  Follow the checklist sheet that tells you what to include.

·  You must pick one unit of teaching and you will need to provide the course competencies associated with that unit/module(s).

·  Print your syllabus, your schedule, and everything included in that module and keep it all together for the teaching unit.

·  It’s recommended that you create a tab in your binder called “Other Assessments”.

o  Put all the other graded assessments (i.e., discussion boards, papers, wikis, exams, quizzes, or whatever).

·  It’s recommended you create a tab and call it “Instructor Created Materials”. This will clearly identify that these materials were created by you and not just part of the RTT course.

·  Adjunct faculty are not required to have service but if you have service to department, college and/or community, include it.
