9:45-10:15 / MORNING TEA
Children have morning tea while teachers say thank you. Toilet Break.

-look at some common types of machines we use. / -look and touch different types of grain / -look at cows in yards
-what do they do? / -what do we use these grains for, show examples (ie.Canola = oil, wheat= flour, pasta etc) / -talk about how we care for cows (feed, water)
-why do we need them? / -have a look at the crop growing nearby in the paddock / -why do people have cows (meat & milk)
-how do they work? / -turn some wheat into flour (Mrs Liddelow will demonstrate in thermomix) / -show kids solar panel that runs the electric fence, how we use the sun.
-how do we move the grain around / -crush some canola seed with hammer on paper to see the oil that comes from the seeds / -explain how we collect our water in dams, move it using pumps and windmills to troughs and tanks.

-chn name the vegetables. / -discuss the various names given to the animals depending on sex and stage of development. / -how is it different to modern day tractors
-May and Jan point out which is the leaf and which part is the vegetable. Discuss the stage it is at. / -talk about how we care for them (feed, water, coats) / -why is it different?
-pick or pull up some of the vegies / -why do people have these animals / -questions
-discuss what the produce is used for: salads, cooking, preserving, gifting, selling at growers market; feed the chooks & compost. / -questions
