Call for a voluntary coordinator
World Camp 2018 – the Philippines
FIMCAP is looking for an enthusiastic coordinator for the FIMCAP World Camp. Every 3 years FIMCAP organizes a World Camp as encounter for young people and young youth leaders from all over the world. In 2018 it’s time for the 8th edition of the World Camp, and it will be hosted by Chiro Philippines.
The World Camp is a camp of 3 weeks, taking place in July - August. Participants come from FIMCAP members all over the world. In total we expect between 60 and 70 participants. During the World Camp the participants do voluntary work in community projects.
The organization of the World Camp involves much planning and preparation. The coordination is in the hands of the following persons:
- The intercontinental presidium of FIMCAP
- A coordinator appointed by the host organization (host coordinator)
To strengthen this team FIMCAP is looking for a voluntary coordinator (FIMCAP coordinator).
FIMCAP is me, FIMCAP is you!
Tasks
Together with the other members of the team, the FIMCAP coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:

o Planning and preparing a balanced program for the participants, based on experiences of previous World Camps and based on the input of the host organization and the intercontinental bureau of FIMCAP.
· The integration of the FIMCAP theme in the program of the World Camp:
o The intercontinental bureau of FIMCAP has put forward SDG 12: responsible consumption and production as central theme for the World Camp in 2018. This theme has to be translated into concrete sessions and activities during the World Camp.
· Preparation of the World Camp:

The FIMCAP coordinator is expected to join this preparation visit.
o Preparation of the participants: developing a clear plan how the participants from each continent can prepare for the World Camp and the central theme.
· Follow-up after the World Camp:
o Developing a clear plan what can be done with the experience after the World Camp and designing next steps for the participants, making it more than just a 3 week camp.
· Coordination during the World Camp:
o The FIMCAP coordinator is expected to join the World Camp for its entire duration (28 July – 19 August).
o The coordinator will not participate in any of the projects, but visit each project and keep the overview.
o Depending on the program the FIMCAP coordinator will have to lead several sessions or activities.
o The FIMCAP coordinator acts as a bridge between the host organization and the participants, and reacts to problems if they occur.
· Budget
o Keeping a close eye on the budget and the costs of the World Camp.
All tasks are done as a team and in cooperation with each other.
Due to the broadness of the tasks, we are looking for 1 or 2 coordinators, depending on the availability of the candidates.
