Location:London

Job Reference: SE207

Department Structure:

The Individual Giving team is part of the Fundraising Department. The role of Mid Value Manager reports into the Head of Individual Giving along with the Direct Marketing Manager, Regular Giving Manager, Legacy Manager and Projects Manager

Job summary:

To launch and then run the new Marie Curie Mid Value Donor program. Marie Curie currently has well established fundraising activity targeting giving under £500 and over £5,000 through its Individual Giving and Major Gifts programmes. However there is no specific activity targeting the gap between the two bands described as ‘mid-value’. This represents a significant opportunity for income generation.

A large research project has been undertaken which produced recommendations as to the structure of Marie Curie’s new Mid-Value donor program. The Mid-Value Manager will use these recommendations to produce a Mid-Value donor Strategy for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Working with both the Individual Giving team and the Major Donor team the Mid-Value Manager will also operationally deliver the strategy ensuring appropriate data selections, appropriate communications and appropriate stewardship plans for this donor segment. It is envisaged that the communication plan would be a mixture of direct mail, digital, telephone and face to face conversations. The aim would be to identify current and potential mid value donors from the Marie Curie database and then maximise the value from them, whilst also providing prospects for the Major Donor team

A mixture of direct marketing and major donor techniques will be used to drive the mid-value program forward.

We are working to a current target of this new initiative delivering close to £1million worth of net income in 5 years.
