Santiago Canyon College’s TGIF Celebration Benefits Students
September 5—The Santiago Canyon College Foundation and Friends of the Library present the annual fall fundraiser TGIF, on Friday, September 28, 6:30 p.m. in the SCC Library. The fourth annual TGIF (which stands for Treasures, Gratitude, Involvement and Friendship) is the culminating event of the Year of the Library in the City of Orange. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, and a silent auction including many one-of-a-kind gift baskets. Proceeds benefit student scholarships and support programs. Tickets are on sale now for $50 per person.
“Thanks to the generous support of our college and community, TGIF has raised over $25,000 in past years to benefit students,” said Kari Caldwell, director of college advancement. “This celebration is a time to gather with friends old and new to acknowledge all who help our students achieve their educational goals.”
This year’s sponsors include The Austin Company, Crevier BMW/Mini, Markum and Rodriguez, the R.C. Hobbs Foundation, and tBP Architects. Auction items available for bid include four tickets to a Ducks Hockey game and Stanley Cup viewing event, two tickets to see the hit Broadway musical Wicked, a romantic weekend in a Big Bear cabin, and much more.
