Course Standards: Students are expected to attend every class and be on time. If a class is missed the student is still responsible for all material and assignments during that class. Assignments submitted late will receive a lower grade. Some assignments cannot be submitted late and assignments more than a week late will not be accepted. Tests must be taken on the announced day and time. If unusual circumstances prevent you from taking the test with your class you must inform the instructor (by email) before the test. Failure to notify the instructor prior to missing a test will result in a 20% reduction in grade.

Attendance Policy: The College does have a class attendance policy that may be found in both the college catalog and the student handbook. Briefly, a student who misses more than 10% of the class sessions may be dropped from the class for non-attendance. A student may withdraw or be withdrawn from a course for the Spring 2013 semester before April 5, 2013 with the instructor assigning a grade of “W” and providing the last date of attendance. If a student stops attending or is administratively withdrawn after this date, an “F” will be assigned.

Grading Scale:

A = 90% and up.

B+ = 89%

B = 80% - 88%

C+ = 79%

C = 70% - 78%

D = 60% - 69%
