Residents from ______County once again turned out in big numbers for the the _____the Annual Rotary Club of ______event

Nearly ______folks showed up for the annual event that helps the Rotary Club's efforts to support a variety of causes, chief of which is to promote______programs within the greater ______area. “Area” means students of any school in ______County.

In the past ______years, the club has awarded ______to more than ______students from the ______community. The funds raised at the event also enable local Rotarians to support local charities and service organizations such as ______.

______, Pancake Event Coordinator and Rotary President Elect, said he couldn’t be any more pleased with the way this year’s event turned out.

Ex: He spoke highly of Lori Bennett and her committee saying they were “outstanding” in heading up the silent auction.

“She gets my honorable mention for her tireless efforts and personal sacrifices,” he added. “This year, I added a few new elements to the event hoping to provoke a few more smiles and raise more scholarship funds in the process, and thank the Lord it was a huge success.”

New additions:

Ex: He said between the bounce house, the Weatherford High School (WHS) Drumline performances and the "Iron Gut" pancake eating contest, Rotarians saw “miles of smiles.”

The "Iron Gut" pancake eating contest was made up of five competitors: Josh Pitman of the Parker County Sheriff’s Department; Tom Seaton of the Weatherford Police Department; Bryan Smith of the Weatherford Fire Department; Jay Ford of the WHS football team and Dr. Jeffrey Hanks, WISD Superintendent.

“They boldly squared off and at the bell started shoveling,” Donaldson said.

When the dust and syrup settled, there was a clear champion - Seaton, with a total of 12 pancakes, took the bragging rights and the trophy.

All told, thousands of pancakes along with hundreds of pounds of bacon and sausage were served to attendees - all in less than three hours.
